In a few hours I’m heading to Tempe Arizona. When I land at 11 pm, it’s supposed be 95 degrees! A major part of the trip will be visiting the location of the ironman race. I plan on ‘walking’ through the whole thing. Since I have an idea where everything will take place, I’m going memorize as much of the scenario as I can. The way I process information is to continually review it in my head. After the ‘walk through’, I’m going to visualize the event from start to finish on a daily basis. Some of the course I’ll do in super slow motion and the rest in fast forward. A huge part of my training is developing the confidence and overall mindset to be able to complete this grueling event without killing myself mentally, physically or otherwise.
I can’t wait to get there, so I can begin ‘seeing’ myself there.
