‘Give Me More Energy Cookies’

Not to be confused with ‘Muscle Muffins’ or ‘Glute “oh my” Bars’, ‘Give Me More Energy Cookies” are what I ate before my workout last night and had 30 min on the stationary bike averaging 19.2 mph and 30 min on the treadmill averaging 8.2 mph. I still had energy when I got off the treadmill but decided not to continue working out. That’s pretty hard to do, but somehow I’ve been pretty good about not over training. I can’t wait to see the ‘cookie effect’ when my workouts become longer and even more intense.

When I got to the gym, I noticed that I forgot to bring water. I got on the bike anyway. I thought, what a great time for an experiment. Would lack of water during an intense workout for an hour make me dehydrated even though I drank a lot of water during the day? Turns out, I was fine. Whenever my mouth got dry, I’d just swallow a few times and the dry mouth feeling went away. That went to show me that I don’t need to panic or take it easy when I don’t have water and want to workout for an hour (I certainly don’t need Gatorade).  I wonder at what amount of time (an hour and 1/2, 2 hours, 2 1/2 hours) I can continue pushing myself without water. I’ll find out.

Anyway, in a few days I’m going to run out of cookies and I’ll be saying: Give me more ‘Give Me More Energy Cookies’ cookies please!
