it IS too

It’s too early, it’s too cold, it’s too hard, it’s too much work, it’s too much on your body. It’s too mentally taxing. It’s too physically draining. It’s too scary. It takes too much time. It’s too expensive. There is too much travel involved.  I’ve thought of some of these things and some have been implanted into my head from people I know.

Though I’ve been pretty good auditing things I allow through my mind, some still creep in. I understand that some people may think some or all of the above. I may have at one point. It’s true that preparing and doing this event is too… something. But here are a different list of too’s that I’m living by.

It’s too much fun to learn how to swim. It’s too beautiful in the morning not to run, It’s too exciting to go further than you ever have before. It’s too amazing not to try. It’s too much to sit at home and watch my body slowly waste away. It’s too bad everyone just doesn’t give it a try. It’s too important to learn about me.

I’ve asked a few people to sign up for next year. I’d even do it with them (step by slow step) if they wanted me too, but the responses I get are all from the first list above. That’s too bad.

Maybe I’ll have one taker before too long, then there will be too of us getting further and further from the first list.

I read a quote today from Joe E. Lewis: “You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough.” Too True!
