They add up fast…

Last night I did a workout pyramid again. This time the number of reps increased with each level. For each level (1-10), One chin-up, 3 push-ups, 3 curls with a 20 lb weight, and 6 sit-ups were performed. The totals for less than an hour workout were: 110 chin-ups, 330 push-ups, 330 curls, and 660 sit-ups. The neat thing is that I felt like I could keep going. Even an hour later, I felt strong enough to do the whole thing over again, but I didn’t.

I’m glad I didn’t do the math until after the workout was done. The thought of doing 330 push-ups is enough to be intimidated, or having boredom set in. But because each level has all four exercises, the monotony is broken up. Boy do the reps add up fast though!
