Put your best foot forward

My left hip snaps, knee crackles and ankle pops with every step. I may have figured out why. If I’m standing and attempt to walk forward, I mostly always push off my right leg. I think my right leg is stronger because of that. I can’t see a difference, nor can I feel a difference. Neither leg is visually shorter than the other, nor do I only play hop scotch with just my right leg, but there is a reason I have an issue with my left leg. So that made me think. Maybe I’m not really putting my best foot forward.

I’m going to do a few experiments to find out. Firstly, I’m going to run with my left leg and walk with my right, then switch. Whichever circle is bigger is the weaker leg. Secondly, I’m going to continuously bounce on one leg until I can’t any more. By using a formula that takes into account the number of hops, the duration of the exercise and the wind direction, I’ll have another piece of the puzzle answered. Lastly, I’ll take a poll of total strangers which of my legs they like better. This one will be used as a tie breaker if the first two experiments are split. Even if they aren’t split, I want to know anyway.

We all want to put our best foot forward, or at least that is what the saying suggests. Me, I’m kind of partial to my left foot, So maybe my best foot is put forward!
