It doesn’t matter

what language you speak, it only matters which one you listen to.

There is a guy that works at the community center that has been there every day at 5:30 am. He has no idea who I am, we never met before Monday, but he has more encouraging things to say on my way past him after, ahem …. swimming, than people I’ve known for years. He’s just being nice and probably says nice things to everyone he sees, but I look it as a message just for me. I want to be really good at whatever I choose to do. Encouraging words, no matter where they blow in from, are what my mind needs at that moment.  I set my mind on completing a goal and everyone and everything that discourages my accomplishing it, just gets ignored.

If someone doesn’t like that I have a tattoo, it really doesn’t matter to me. If someone complements it, then I feel good they noticed. I only listen to the language that speaks to me and my life. Everything else is just an opinion, just like this post.

It doesn’t matter what language I speak, it only matters what language I listen to. What do you think about that?

I’ve been following your posts for a while and this post really ‘speaks’ to me. Keep going Tom! Listen to these encouraging words and don’t stop going for it.

That was a much needed reminder. Thanks!
