Getting ready for 2TH2

I had so much fun at TH2, I can’t wait for 2TH2. In the pool today, I went further (40 lengths total) than I have before. Even though I had a good dinner and plenty of rest, I got tired pretty quickly. It wasn’t muscular, but felt it was my breathing that made me tired today. I still have the habit of breathing deeply and exhaling heavily. During the laps, I’d take a break, back float and remind myself to relax. The reminder lasted a lap or two.  I don’t know if it’s possible, but I’d like to add ten lengths a week so in 6 weeks I’ll be swimming a mile and a half on my long days. Oh yea, by the way, drinking pool water isn’t included in the total to the right.

Tonight is supposed to be rainy again, of course, so I’ll be running in the rain. The only down side to that is I don’t have a waterproof iPod or music player. I just can’t listen to the radio for at least an hour before I go because the last song that I hear will be stuck in my head. My luck it will be It’s Friday by Rebecca Black or better yet, the Chad Vader version.Great, now it’s stuck in my head!

I’m pretty sure I can do the 12 mile bike ride without too much trouble. Wow, what a change from a few weeks ago, when 1) I didn’t have a bike and 2) I wasn’t sure if I could even keep my balance if I did and 3) I thought 12 miles doing anything was really long (even driving a car).

Overall, I’m pretty confident that I can beat last week’s time. That should prove I’m getting better, right?
